The STREAM Cities Project (STRategic European And Mediterranean Cities) was approved at the end of 2006 and is co-financed by the European Commission within the MED-PACT programme. This programme is dedicated to the cooperation among local authorities in the Southern and Northern Mediterranean countries.

The overall objective of the STREAM Cities project is to develop an innovative approach in Urban Strategic Planning where the participatory method in policy development is real and effective. This represents an important answer to the new challenges of urban development and for an effective urban governance.

The project will end on August 2010.
