The Italian expert Ms Anna Meo from ReCS visited Fez in order to monitor the project and help the city in implementing the STREAM Cities project's activities.
Fez is still at a preliminary phase, also due to political changes and financial hindrances in receiving and managing EU co-financing.

Ms Meo met the head of the international relations office, the Deputy Mayor and the manager of many institutions, such as: the Cultural centre/ multimedia library of Fez, the Dance Festival of Fez, a reception shelter for women who suffered from violence, the Chamber of Commerce, the Craftmans association.
Ms Meo could not hold a joint meeting of all the people working as the STREAM Cities project staff.

What clearly emerged is the need of improving craftmanship and better promoting the suk, the market; namely improving creative jobs which still use ancient handicraft techniques.

Ms Meo
