The Italian expert Mr Paolo Ortelli from ReCS visited El Mina and held several meetings with the main stakeholders involved in the STREAM Cities project.

Mr. Ortelli met representatives of Rachid Karami International Fair, the Chamber of Trade and Commerce in North Lebanon, the Order of Engineers, the Fishermen Coop and delegations from the banking, cultural, industrial, enterprise, educational and commercial sectors.

He also met the top four public servants in El Mina Municipality and discussed the experience of Venice in writing and implementing the city strategic plan.

Then Mr. Ortelli gave a public presentation in the Municipal Palace, in which he highlighted the important considerations that the local group should have in mind while shaping the strategic plan and the importance of public-private partnerships and reforming laws.
